I tried using the levelator on my fiction podcast, and I didn't like the result. It took out some of the dynamics of a dramatic reading. I NEED some parts to be louder than others.

Which leads to a question: How much dynamic range can I use? How faint can I go?

I decided just to use Audacity's "Normalize" function judiciously to pull up anything that's too faint.

You two guys are so nice. Even though I wrote in and offered up Into the Dark for Pap Smearing, you were gentlemen enough to claim that you haven't gotten any that sucked.

I just hope that when you get to me, You're brutally honest. I need help, and I know it.

[...] It was our turn this week and while there were improvements suggested, we came off with a recommendation to keep on doing what we’ve been doing! Thanks to Steve Eley and Michael R. Mennenga for taking the time to look at the show. If you’re at all interested in the subject of podcasting you should subscribe to their show as 10 episodes in, I’ve already picked up a tonne of info which has helped with Directors Notes.
