It took out some of the dynamics of a dramatic reading. I NEED some parts to be louder than others. Which leads to a question: How much dynamic range can I use? How faint can I go? I decided just to use Audacity's "Normalize" function judiciously to pull up anything that's too faint. I tried using the levelator on my fiction podcast, and I didn’t like the result.
